How it works
We confirm employees, contractors, jurisdictions, schedules, and current filing status.

We watch for notices, changes, and year-end requirements so small issues stay small.
Start with a conversation
Your team expects to be paid correctly and on time. Behind each payday are tax deposits, quarterly returns, and year-end forms with firm deadlines. We manage the full cycle, so payroll stays predictable for your team and quiet for you.
At the federal level, Form 941 is due each quarter on April 30, July 31, October 31, and January 31. W-2s and 1099-NECs are due by January 31, or the next business day. In Utah, withholding is reported through the Tax Commission on Form TC-941E, and how often you pay depends on how much you withhold.
Many payroll problems start before the first paycheck. Is that worker an employee or a contractor? Is the business registered in every state where people work? Is the owner paid in a way that fits the entity? We review these questions during setup, because fixing them later costs more.
If you have workers across the state line in Nevada, the rules change. Nevada has no personal income tax, but employers there may owe the Modified Business Tax. Learn more on our Mesquite page.
S corporation owners also need a salary that can be defended. Our guide to reasonable compensation covers why it matters. Payroll also feeds your monthly books, so labor costs show up accurately in your P&L.
Common questions
W-2s and 1099-NECs are generally due January 31. If that falls on a weekend, the deadline moves to the next business day.
Utah returns are filed through the Tax Commission. Employers withholding $1,000 or more a month file quarterly and pay monthly, while smaller employers generally file and pay quarterly.
